Description

LIOLIPID is a food supplement based on Berberis aristata, cornelian cherry fruits, shiitake, policosanols, coenzyme Q10 and astaxanthin. Its formulation provides nutrients traditionally used to support the physiological balance of lipid metabolism, particularly when combined with a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Berberine is known for its role in supporting normal lipid pathways within the body, and policosanols are naturally occurring compounds found in several plant sources. Shiitake contains naturally occurring policosanols and contributes to the normal processing of fatty acids in the liver. Cornelian cherry fruits provide polyphenols, anthocyanins and bioflavonoids, which are recognized for their antioxidant properties. Coenzyme Q10, astaxanthin and hydroxytyrosol contribute to the body’s overall antioxidant defenses.

Hydroxytyrosol has been acknowledged by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for its contribution to protecting LDL particles from oxidative stress when consumed daily at a minimum intake of 5 mg — the same amount provided in Liolipid.
