ESAMIC is an innovative food supplement based on standardized extracts titrated in polysaccharides and highly concentrated beta-glucans, obtained from six of the most widely studied medicinal mushrooms in mycotherapy: Grifola frondosa (Maitake), Agaricus blazei Murril (Himematsutake), Reishi, Hericium, Chaga and Shiitake. Thanks to the variety and complementarity of its components, ESAMIC provides broad support for the body’s natural immune functions and represents one of the most complete formulations in the field of mushroom-based nutraceuticals.
Maitake contains important polysaccharides such as grifolan, grifolin and 1,3–1,6 beta-glucans, including the well-known “Maitake D-fraction.” Agaricus blazei Murril is naturally rich in beta-glucans, while Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi) provides polysaccharides and triterpenes—compounds traditionally associated with immune support. Hericium erinaceus contains 3-glucans and various polysaccharides and is known for its affinity with immune and nervous system well-being. Inonotus obliquus (Chaga) is valued for its high content of antioxidant compounds, including one of the highest natural concentrations of SOD among botanical sources. Shiitake provides lentinan, a polysaccharide traditionally associated with immune modulation. ESAMIC also includes polydatin, extracted from the root of Polygonum cuspidatum, a natural glucoside of resveratrol.
